Play Therapy is the most developmentally appropriate modality for treating children from early to middle childhood. The use of toys in a caring and accepting environment allows children to express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a freeing manner.  Children build confidence, communication skills, and problem solving skills assisting them in making improved behavioral choices.

Activity Therapy is an effective therapeutic modality utilized for children during late childhood through early adolescence. The use of therapeutic games, creative expression and art therapy allows the child to explore their innermost thoughts and feelings. With the safety of these types of activities the child is free to explore increased self-awareness and ultimately resolve their issue.

Talk Therapy utilizes different counseling modalities specific to the individual including humanistic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and exposure methods. Such techniques promote an individual's awareness of how one’s thoughts impact their feelings and behaviors. Ultimately, these modalities assist the individual in developing the skills necessary to re-frame irrational thinking patterns.
